There are three races in Valxion called "Ferals." They are beast like beings who are shrouded in mystery, although they are called beasts, they do show intelligence. Little is known by the other races of their way of life and most have come into little contact by them.
Sacers
Sacers are large wolf like beasts with patches of feathers growing along with their fur. sacers live in a matriarchal society. All sacer pups are white with blue eyes when they are born it is not until they have started to stop relying on their mother that markings and patches of different colour fur begin to grow.
It is also said that sacers can shift into a human like form with small pointed ears but it has yet to be proven by the other races.
No one has been able to find where the sacers live and to see a sacer is said to bring good fortune.

Demimen
Demimen are beasts that seem to have bird like front legs with either feline or canine back legs and body along with a mask on their face. It is said that they are created from corrupted souls who have failed to pass on to the afterlife. They live in small packs and raid villages and carriages, often killing and taking or "eating" the souls of their victims. Few have been lucky to survive and live to tell the tale and fewer have been able to actually kill one.
Rumors say that they have that ability to shift and blend in with humans but can be picked out by a marking on their chests where the heart should be. They've only have had one alpha, Vexx who is everlasting as he is able to be reborn.

Kleptirs
No one knows of this species other then that they are just an old fairy tale, kleptirs are large beasts with the head and wings of that of a bird of prey and body of a large cat. They are very strict on beliefs and never show their natural form to anyone under any circumstances.
As they live high up in the mountains they are able to shift into humans so they can trade in Town of Mal, trading their handmade clothing, tools and jewelry for food and water and other essentials to allow them to live up in the peaks of the mountains.
People believe them to just be a tribe of humans who live in isolation up in the mountains.
