History of the Elves
The elves have also lived in Valxion for a very long time along with the melez, although they lived in a permanent large city of sorts, which eventually grew to become the current city of Valxi many years later. The elves and melez races have quite a bit of history with each other, most of the time they got along as they would share knowledge of magic and traded, however in the past few centuries or so they have all since cut ties with the melez once the elves decided to side with the humans.
Elves were the original founders of magic, using it to make day to day life easier for themselves, never using it out of violence or for self gain. They lived happily and in peace until the humans arrived demanding land from them, the sage at that time disliked violence and feared that his people would not be able to survive an assault from the humans so he proposed a treaty, they were to share the land as long as the elves taught the humans about magic and how to use it.
Since then they have lived with the humans in somewhat harmony, both races were able to learn from one another for years and both fought as allies during the dragon wars.
In recent years the elves still have a close relationship with the humans, they even have their own representative within the castle who speaks on behalf of the eleven sage. The current sage of the elves leads his people in the main elven city where they are exempted from most of the kingdoms laws and taxes in exchange for information on magic for the school of magic and on any ancient knowledge from sacred scripts, it is also in this city where the elves are able to keep their traditional culture.
